Academy of Evangelism Russia training, December 2019We were delighted to see a good number graduate at the gathering in St Petersburg in December as the first cycle of the ‘Academy of Evangelism’ came to its conclusion. Graduates now head home to different points of the country, having been further equipped, encouraged and inspired as to the urgent Gospel task. Please pray for them as they seek to be faithful to His call. Please also pray for the AOE leadership as they prepare for Module 1, ‘The Call of the Evangelist’, due to take place in April with a new intake.

Academy of Evangelism Russia training, March 2019March 2019 and Module 3 of the inaugural ‘Academy of Evangelists’ took place in Moscow. Over 30 young evangelists gathered from different cities and spent the weekend exploring the ins and outs of effective communication of the Gospel. Each participant had opportunity to give a 5-minute Gospel talk as they sought to sharpen their messages. We are starting to hear encouraging testimonies from these young evangelists as they seek to put into practice what they are learning at the Academy. Please pray for them.

Academy of Evangelism Russia training, October 2018Young evangelists gathered together in October for the second instalment of the new 'Academy of Evangelists'. Travelling from across Russia, the participants explored the challenges of preaching the Gospel in their present context. It was clear as the weekend concluded, that there is much anticipation of God as these evangelists seek to be faithful to the call entrusted to them. Please pray as the Gospel goes out across this needy land.

Academy of Evangelism Russia training, March 2018March 2018 saw the launch of the EEI training, or Academy of Evangelism, for young evangelists in Russia. In partnership in Youth for Christ and Silent No More, K180 sent Gareth Hides and Tom Rawling (both EEI UK alumni) to help teach on the first long weekend of the two-year programme. Also teaching were Russian evangelists and some special guests who are serving on the mission field. Our theme for the weekend was ‘The Evangelist and the Call’. In a nation where it is seemingly difficult to share the Gospel with others, particularly in public, it was encouraging to hear of testimonies of evangelists being bold for Jesus, preaching the Gospel, and seeing God at work as they step out for Him. Please pray for the participants, who came from all across Russia, that they would be bold and used of God in seeing lives transformed. The next training session is planned for the autumn.
