On Mission in Szeged and Békécscaba, Sept 2019
This autumn a K180 team partnered with the local church in Szeged called Biblia Szól, which means 'The Bible Speaks'. Szeged is the third largest city in Hungary and has a university with about 35,000 students. On Friday and Saturday we led a testimony workshop and taught sessions on using illustrations to share the gospel messages, and the importance of prayer in evangelism. A good number of people attended the training sessions and joined us for the street outreaches, and several shared two-minute testimonies and gave illustrated messages on the streets. Many people stopped to listen and there were quite a number of gospel conversations, including with university students from various backgrounds; Muslims, a Hindu, and a Buddhist. On the Friday night five people made a first-time commitment to Jesus Christ! On Sunday we joined believers at a church about 100km from Szeged, in a town called Békéscsaba, a church plant of the Biblia Szól church in Szeged. At the service, the team were invited to share and preach. We were encouraged to see how many joined us in the town centre for outreach after the service, and we had a number of really encouraging gospel conversations with some locals. At the afternoon service back in Szeged, we had the joy of witnessing the baptism of five people during in the service. We pray that God will continue to grow His church in Szeged and Békéscsaba, and that they will continue to see a harvest of souls as many get saved. |

On Mission in Kaposvár and Pécs, April 2018
It was a joy to be back in Hungary partnering with old friends and new in the local Church in Pécs, and nearby Kaposvár, for more training, street ministry and fellowship. We spent an afternoon training in Kaposvár with Pastor Janosh and other leaders, and joined in with their youth gathering that evening. We quickly put the training into practice to share the gospel in the city square and found ourselves in several encouraging conversations. On Saturday and Sunday, we were back in Pécs for more training and outreach. In addition to those attending from our long-standing church partners, we were thankful that God once again brought attendees from other churches, including some for the first time. We look forward to seeing God’s plan unfold in Hungary in the coming months and years! |

On Mission in Budapest and Pécs, September 2017
We returned to Hungary in September with two teams which was just what we had prayed for! One team of two spent the weekend with the church in Budapest, and a team of three travelled down to Pécs to continue the work there alongside András & Vicki. Both teams enjoyed eventful weekends of ministry, building relationships with churches in neighbouring towns who share the vision for an active and witnessing Church, operating outside the buildings in which we gather. God was faithful to draw people in through the open-air preaching of Jesus resulting in numerous conversations after almost every presentation of the gospel. The team were encouraged by the response of one man on Saturday who knelt on the street in Pécs and prayed a prayer of commitment. He joined the team for lunch that day, and for the Sunday morning service too. The church in Hungary is continuing to grow in size and unity, and it is a joy to be a part of what God is doing there! Please join us in prayer for our brothers and sisters in Hungary, and also that we might clearly see how God would have us continue to partner with them in his work there in 2018. |

On Mission in Budapest and Pécs, May 2017
We joined our friends at “Bible Speaks” church for a wonderful weekend of training and street evangelism. In Budapest, we were joined by a group of about 20 people, from the local church and its bible school, for a testimony workshop which we immediately put to use as we travelled over to a busier part of the city for outreach. We set up outside the entrance of a shopping mall and began sharing a series of songs, illustrated messages and testimonies. Around 6-7 members of the local team shared testimony of what Jesus had done in their lives (some for the very first time!). Passers-by stopped to listen and many conversations opened up. One young man heard about the assurance of salvation he could know, and was invited to the local church’s international service; and, after a lengthy conversation, another man was welcomed into the family of God! On Saturday, we left for the city of Pécs, where our friends András & Vicki have been pastoring a church plant out of Budapest for the past year. András and Vicki have a huge heart for unity among the churches of Pécs and for doing as much as God enables them to do in the way of awakening the church to pursue the people of their city. They invited 10 other churches to come and join in the training and outreaches we’d organised with them over the weekend. As our team arrived that Saturday morning we were welcomed by 20 smiling brothers and sisters, from at least four other churches, who were eager to be equipped and go out. What an answer to prayer! Over the course of two outreaches on Saturday, we welcomed another brother into the family of God after he had heard the Gospel presented. He shared how he had been seeking God for a long time. Praise God for His powerful Gospel! The response was so overwhelmingly positive in both cities that there are plans to possibly return later this year with two teams (1 for each city). Please join us in praying for Hungary. |

On Mission in Budapest and Pécs, 2015
A K180 team went out to Hungary again on the 6th to 9th November 2015 at the invitation of “Bible Speaks” church and their street evangelism team. We had the privilege of leading an illustrated message preaching workshop on the Friday evening, followed by street outreach with their team in Corvin Square. On Saturday, we travelled down to Pécs in the south of Hungary to support a church plant there. Once again, we were able to preach the Gospel, share music and testimony. One man responded to the message and prayed to commit his life to Christ that afternoon. We joined with the Pécs church’s service late afternoon, before travelling back to Budapest. Sunday saw us join with some of the Budapest team again to do some more outreach at Corvin Square, this time in the Metro underpass. Many conversations were had, and again one man prayed to give his life to Jesus. He came with us from there straight to the Sunday afternoon church service at “Bible Speaks” at the invitation of the team. We were able to introduce him to some local believers before the service and he really met with the Lord again during the worship and preaching. It was truly a privilege to see the Holy Spirit at work, drawing precious people to Christ as the Gospel is preached. The Gospel is powerful! Thank you for praying for the team and the mission! "Two years on... lasting fruit"
