On Mission in Štip, 2023
It was a blessing to return to Štip, North Macedonia in September 2023, four years after our last visit for the Big 3 mission in 2019. We were privileged to serve alongside Oasis Church again, led by Pastor Angel. Though unplanned when selecting the dates for the team's visit, in God's providence, there was a Food Festival occurring in the city which meant that thousands of people were visiting Štip who normally wouldn't be there! After a time of prayer on a large hill over looking the city on Friday evening, we led some evangelism training at the church on Saturday morning, with a focus on how to handle difficult questions in conversations as well as a short refresher on the central message of the Gospel and how to use scripture as we share with people. We were blessed to be joined by believers from evangelical churches in other towns and cities. After some lunch, the team went into the centre to engage people in Gospel conversations. We also did this in the evening when many had gathered for a free concert. On Sunday, Pastor Shacky shared a message from God's Word and Odette shared her testimony. |
