HM Moldova 2022...
|
53 young leaders, drawn from across Moldova, came together in late October for this first ‘in-person’ History Makers training in Moldova since 2019. In many ways, it was quite remarkable that this training took place as our core leadership team in Moldova have been, and remain, very engaged in assisting Ukrainian refugees being temporarily cared for in Moldova, but also in running supplies into Ukraine itself. We are inspired by the team as they see the need for leadership training at this critical time. Our History Makers Champion in Moldova, Vitalie, commented that having not had face-to-face training for a few years, there is a great need to equip their ‘up and coming’ young leaders. The training also had the blessing of our History Makers Romania Champion, Emy, being able to join the faculty team. May the Lord multiply this investment in these young lives and bring Gospel impact in that region beyond our imagination!

HM Online in Romanian 2020...

Two countries came together to see the launch of History Makers Online in Romanian - Moldova and Romania. Running over 10 weeks and with input from faculty from as far away as Colombia and as near to home as Moldova and Romania, it was an encouraging journey together. The numbers dipped a little in the middle, but we finished strong and, we trust, to the glory of God and the extension of His kingdom in the days to come.

HM Moldova 2019...
Gathering just outside of the capital, Chisinau, a group of young leaders from across Moldova spent some days exploring the core values of effective Christian leadership. Each participant had a desire to grow in their understanding of God, their love for Jesus, and their faithfulness to His call to leadership. With input from faculty coming from Moldova, Russia and the UK, these days were a rich experience of coming aside from the ‘everyday’ and simply spending time in His presence.

"It was fantastic to see how enthusiastically the participants engaged with the 8 core values. We saw a real desire for deeper intimacy in the Lord and many expressing a renewed sense of being set apart for the work of the Lord. In one case, a participant shared that he will be turning down a possible job offer with a large international audit firm to go into full-time Christian ministry instead.” Please pray for these young leaders as they press ahead with His call to make Christ known across Moldova.

HM Moldova 2017...Young leaders gathered from different parts of Moldova to participate in this year’s national History Makers journey. The leaders were engaged from start to finish with an earnest desire to be better equipped for the task in hand. Many of the these leaders are engaged day to day in leading youth ministry within the Baptist Union of Moldova, and History Makers is proving a vital tool in helping them develop their leadership gifting.

HM Moldova Summer 2016...50 young leaders gathered just outside Chisinau in late September to explore the 8 core values for strong biblical leadership in their 21st century Moldovan context.
Hosting in both the Romanian and Russian language, young leaders from 7 of Moldova's 9 regions spent these days learning, discussing, seeking God for fresh vision and calling on Him for a fresh outpouring of His Spirit in these days. It was a formative time with much encouragement, and some positive plans for multiplication upon leaving our time together. |

HM Moldova Summer 2014...A first for HM…
The first ever History Makers in Moldova took place at the end of August. Young leaders, from around the country, gathered at a retreat centre near Chisinau for 5 days of interactive training. As well as being great fun, it was inspiring to see how the Lord was speaking directly into the lives of the participants. Things cannot stay the same going forward and plans are already afoot to multiply the training in various regions of Moldova. Of notable encouragement was the diversity of the faculty team, being drawn from Belarus, England, Moldova, Northern Ireland, Romania and USA. A great team bringing varied experience.
