Thank You
Bold Obedience Walk for Life, 21st-23rd June 2019
Earlier this summer, K180 led a group of History Makers graduates, faculty, and leaders from across Europe and the USA who took on the challenge of walking 100km in 3 days, from Auschwitz, Poland to Malenovice in the Czech Republic. The aim of the walk was to raise the profile and funding for the work of History Makers as we seek to train and equip young leaders to spread the Gospel in their own countries and cultures all over Europe.
After beautiful sunshine for most of Day 1, our intended target was cut short by 6km due to sudden torrential rain, making it unsafe to walk any further. Prayer requests went out to our supporters back home, and the Lord blessed us with perfect weather for the rest of the walk. However, the delay meant that we needed to cover a mammoth 48km on Day 2, which was extremely exhausting for everyone, but the Lord gave us His strength. Day 3 started in the border town of Cieszyn with very sore feet, and we were definitely counting down the kilometres! Our route took us over all sorts of terrains; from main roads to mud tracks, through villages and towns, across fields, up steep hills, and over streams, including navigating a deep trench in the shadow of a motorway! Some team members struggled with injuries and strains, but people gave generous support to one another, both physically and mentally, creating a wonderful team spirit. |

As we walked, we prayed for the nations of Europe; both for countries in which History Makers journeys are happening, and where they are yet to be inaugurated, and when our feet ached and we felt exhausted, we sang and praised, sometimes in several languages simultaneously! The fellowship and encouragement we shared was precious, and laughter kept us going.
Our Polish ‘ground team’ supported us ably, driving a supply vehicle with water and food to each rest stop on the route, picking up exhausted team members, and helping to plan the route up front; Google maps has never been so important!
The sense of thankfulness and team achievement when we reached Malenovice was wonderful as we gazed out over the view and praised the Lord for His faithfulness.
Thank YOU to everyone who supported us, both financially and in prayer; we know the Lord will do great things with History Makers. "Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us; to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:20
